Get Ready: Alumni Football USA is coming to town and organizing alumni football games for the schools listed above!

We are looking for past high school football players interested in playing one more full gear, full contact game with their buddies against HS rival teams. To sign up, select “1” next to your school and click the orange "Register" button. If your roster is full, "SOLD OUT", reserve a spot on the waiting list.  Be sure to provide your correct email address and check it often. We’ve had guys play as young as 18 and as old as 69. The first 40 guys from each team to sign up make the roster. All football equipment is supplied. Cost to play is $95. Each player gets a game video and a game T-shirt. High school rules complete with officials and 12-minute quarters. Sorry, but only the first teams to fill their roster will have games this year while other teams wait until next year. Players who sign up will be listed below. Games will be played at a local stadium.

Who do you know that was a great QB, lineman, center, LB, DB, long snapper or punter? Alumni Football USA has done hundreds of games and calling fellow players is how the teams are built. No one gets on the roster until they register above or contact Albert. About 45-60 days before the event and once most teams have 25-40 guys on the roster, we set up a team meeting. At the meeting we will talk about everything from captains to coaches to practice times, insurance, presale tickets, when you get the equipment, game time, and all that good stuff. There is a $95 fee which covers all costs: field, lights, announcers, officials, administration, etc.

FIVE GOALS WE STRIVE TO MAINTAIN
First we create Positive Exciting Community Events; 25-40 guys from each school wanting to use the community facility and REPRESENT THEIR SCHOOL one more time. We specialize in managing Alumni Football Events for former high school football players. Second, we are Reaching out to Young Adults and allowing them to refocus their lives with some renewed purpose, and direction! Many organizations reach out to teenagers & adolescents, but very few reach out to young adults. Many young males across our nation are bored with no purpose in life. They are hungry for the intense focus and teamwork they found on the high school football field. Most high school football players graduate and never have a chance to play again. Many tell us they have been waiting for this opportunity for many years since their last game. After every game we get numerous thank yous! We help young adults through the mundane 9-5 mentality creating an opportunity for great memories along with a reason to workout and get in shape again. This adventure is not in front of a TV, on a video game, or at the local bar. We work with young men still answering the questions: “Who am I?” and “Do I have what it takes?” We provide "the juice" and help them rediscover their hearts. There is nothing worse than men without chests. After the games many alumni players hang around, often struggling with leaving the field, their arena... Third, we Help the Local High Schools Financially. We pay for facility use and often trade up to 4 games of concessions to cover costs for the facility. Many home schools have made thousands of dollars from the concessions. We have Incredible School Fundraisers with Presale Tickets and Half-Time Raffles between students and the crowd. We also hire many teenagers and young adults to help us manage the games. Most facilities just sit dormant during the off season making zero revenue. Fourth, we create Positive School Publicity: Positive Media, Recognition of local Dignitaries and Veterans. We honor accomplishments with awards, and more. Fifth, we Pull Together Incredible Diversity Working Together for a Common Goal! We get tremendous cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic mix. It is not uncommon to see a dentist lined next to a janitor or a law enforcement agent next to a parolee. The players stand back to back fighting together for another chance at the big win in this intense, aggressive game of Alumni Football. The players are bigger, older, stronger, wiser, a step slower… and the fans love them!
Alumni Football USA Supreme Goal
Give the Players the greatest event they can ever expect. This means all the bells and whistles: music at the games, national anthem, great officials, great equipment, great looking jerseys, huge crowds, schools involved & making money, media coverage, game videos, T-Shirts, sweat shirts, good food, photo coverage, YouTube highlights, and a comprehensive website with excellent communication and connection!
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s):
1. My team SOLD OUT, but I want to play.  What should I do?  First, register on the Waiting List for SOLD OUT Teams above.  Second, attend the team meeting.  We always do our best to figure out a fair, creative solution. With enough interest some schools may have two separate teams.
2. Why the limit in team size? We have a waiting list for #’s over 45. In good cases we will set up a second team. If we have a few over 45 we will adjust. In some cases teams with over 45 have frustrated players that do not play as much as they would like to. 45-50 seems to be the tops for a good size alumni football army.
3. My school is not listed; can I still play?  Register under Schools NOT LISTED Registration above. If enough players from your school register we will add your team. We apologize if we have left out your team. We are just getting to know your area. You can always email or call Albert.
4. Do I have to go to the team meeting?  The meeting is usually set 45-60 days before the event and it is best to attend. A few people have conflicts and cannot attend. That's okay as long as they get accurate information from their teammates. The $75 payment needs to be made and a form needs to be signed. Many issues are discussed at the meeting.
5. I live out of town, don't know any of the other players, cannot attend the team meeting, but I want to play.  What should I do?  Call Albert at (707) 321-1639. He will give you team leader names and other information.
6. Who will coach?  2-3 leaders usually rise up. We have had many player and non-player coaches.  Usually an overall information leader arises along with an offensive and/or defensive leader. Someone is needed for each team that can handle spread sheet information and emails.
7. How many times do we practice?  A few teams practice once a week, but most practice 2-3 times each week. Remember that adults have adult responsibilities and usually cannot attend 5 practices per week.
8. Do we practice without pads?  Yes, you get the pads on game day and it is like disneyland!
9. When is the first practice?  A few teams start practicing on their own. The first practices are usually scheduled on a weekend at the first big meeting so AlumniFootballUSA personnel can attend to help at the start.
10. How do we get the equipment?  We provide you with all the football pads/gear you'll need (except for mouthpiece & jock) a few hours before your game. Please arrive 2-3 hours before your game. All gear is cleaned and fresh.
11. What about jerseys?  We have good looking jerseys in about 10 different color variations. We will try to match up your school colors as best as possible.  Most teams use our jerseys.  Some teams are ordering jerseys on their own and some will borrow from the school. Do not wear high school shoulder pads or helmets because they have to be recertified before high school use.
12. Are practices mandatory?  Some player will fly in for game day.  All situations need to be worked out with the team. Most players attend practices, but remember these guys now have adult responsibilities and may have to miss a few practices. Wives, kids, double shifts, etc. make it different now. Be somewhat flexible. In high school everyone went to practice right after their last class and there were no bill to pay...
13. I live out of town and can't make any of the practices.  Can I still play?  This has to be worked out with your team. Hopefully you are a DT and not a QB...
14. What is the date and time of my game?  Games are tentatively scheduled for March 2010.  Depending on the situation, we may not schedule your game until January/February because we're watching for the best matchups, etc.  We'll talk more about this at the team meeting.
15. Are we guaranteed to play our top rival?  No, sometimes a few teams do not build or develop. We will get you a strong matchup.
16. What about safety?  This is play at your own risk.  We do not recommend playing any sport without medical insurance. It is easy to sprain an ankle or strain a shoulder. AlumniFootballUSA has not had any serious injuries, but many people have gotten hurt playing the aggressive game of football. Serious head, neck, and spinal injuries are always possibilities. Some people have even died from playing football. Most people should get checked out by their doctor before playing any rigorous sport.  If you have not been physically active for awhile you should condition/train and be especially careful.  Playing in these  football games is very exciting and it is your responsibility to check with your doctor and make sure that your heart is healthy enough to handle the strain.  Again, we suggest getting checked out by your doctor.
17. Do you Supply Insurance? We do provide the required liability insurance for the schools and their facility. We do not provide health insurance, and we do not recommend that you play if you do not have your own health insurance. You are more than welcome to coach or help out the team in other ways.
18. Who are you guys?  We're football coaches and past players that still love the game. We have found that many young adults miss this game and want the opportunity to play at least one more time. Tim Bishop is an Alumni Games Director and resides in Austin, TX.  The Founder/President of Alumni Football USA, Bob Cazet, resides in Santa Rosa, CA. Dan Mossberg, Beau Ingram and Tracy Cavender also reside in N. California. We all look forward to meeting you at the team meeting.
19. Who can play?  Anyone out of high school from the appropriate school. Occasionally  an out of the area person can play for a local school. No Ringers... We have had players that have never played high school football and we have had retired professional football players play.
20. Can I still play on a certain team even if I did not go to that school?  Usually "No" but there are rare exceptions like the local firemen that come from an area that is 600 miles away. They can play for the closest school at times...
21. What happens if the team we're matched up with does not get enough guys?  Some teams get dropped if they do not develop in time. All paid money is refunded.
22. Can the teams decide to change the first two practice times? You can always add practices, but please keep the first 2 so our agents know where and when to attend to provide assistance and answer questions.
23. Is my $75 refundable after I pay? We ask that  you have someone "take your place" and pay you. If something happens and you cannot play your money will be refunded minus a $20 administration fee.
24. What is the overall level of play?  Every game is different, but almost all games are serious, competitive, and hard hitting.
25.  Can I pay at practice?  Yes. Some teams bump the guys that have not paid with other players that paid. Those that pay have committed and show up come game time. Many of those who do not pay before game day do not show up. It is a commitment and an investment. Everyone pays the $75.
26. What does the $75 fee cover? If you do not pay, you do not play. We put on quality events for the players, their families, the fans, and all opponents. We provide 10-20 workers at each event, 4-5 quality refs per game, quality gear, awards, professional service/communication, web sites, phone calls, email, text messages, great fields/lights/locations, DVD’s, YouTube highlights for each game, advertisement, facility insurance, fundraising for schools, and more... We have agents working this job full time to provide these services. Our experience shows that many players that do not pay early do not show up on game day, whereas; those who pay are committed & show up!
27. Can we get taped before the game? Trainers?  We do not provide tape or trainers.
28. Can we put tape or decals on the helmets? No tape or decals on our helmets please.
29. Can my friends or family come down on the field? No, only players and coaches please. Others will be asked to watch from the stands. Some of these players fly out of bounds like a Mac Truck with no driver…
30. How old do you have to be to play? 18 or older and beyond graduation date of high school senior year.
31. Why do some schools seem to have 2 teams? The Top Ten U.S. Rivals start off with 2 teams each; a 35 and over team and an under 35 team. The younger teams will usually play before the older group if both teams develop. Leadership is Key! If both teams do not develop then the teams will be combined. Father/Son groupings will always be considered. There is also the rare occasion where one team has 2 QB’s and the other team has none… 
32. What are the Keys to having a great team? 1. Contact Friends & Build an Army! Contact (phone/email/Facebook) all your buddies and have them reserve a spot at AlumniFootballUSA.com  or call the number below. 2. Leaders & Good Practices are Critical. Organized practices are a must for everyone to keep coming. Leaders will emerge and are necessary. These are serious games and need a strong offense, defense, and all special teams. A good long snapper is necessary. Offensive timing is necessary. Continued communication with players and the Team Coordinator is necessary. 3. Go to All Practices Possible. While you were in high school you did not pay the bills or answer to a wife and kids. You also went to practice right after your last class. Some guys cannot make weekday practices and some cannot do weekend practices due to family or work responsibilities. Some players live far away. Attend all the practices that are possible and stay in contact with the team leader! 4. Payment is Commitment. After the big meeting your payment is due. Those who pay their $75 will be committed, whereas those who wait until the end often do not show up on game day. Do not wait until the end to pay unless it is absolutely necessary. If your team is dropped your money will be refunded. 5. Check your Email for Critical Information. We send out important messages. If you do not do email have a teammate share the messages with you. 6. Have Fun! We put on Exciting Events with many Serious Games! These are not pick-up games. Still remember to have fun and you may even find that you do have what it takes while going after another big WIN!
33. What Rules do we play by?
High School Rules with 5 Exceptions
1.       Only 4 rushers from 3 or 4 point stances and only 4 players in 3 or 4 point stances. Seven players must be in a 2 point stance. Presnap 5 yard penalty from LOS. After a hand off, LB’s don’t wait! When the QB rolls out past the tackle anyone can go. Send under 12 on punts J. (Shotgun on 2^nd down is not punt formation!)
2.     No crack back block from wideouts... Blocking from outside is okay with 2 hand lead and both feet planted. No head or shoulder lead. These guys have to go to work on Monday...
3.     Celebrations after TD’s are Okay as long as the player does not throw the ball into the stands and everyone keeps their clothes on!
4.     Minimal Number Problems: Teams are only required to have 5 ineligible players by position rather than by number.  Players who are wearing ineligible numbers but meet the positional requirements for eligibility to catch a pass shall not be deemed ineligible.  As long as a player is on the end of the LOS or in the backfield they are eligible. Example: A TE for a team wearing 75 is on the End of the LOS with a slot back in the backfield outside of him is eligible. He will be allowed to catch the pass and it will not be illegal touching because of his number.
5.     If both teams have 40 players we have 15 Minute Quarters instead of 12.
(We also have shorter half time breaks. When the older guys sit too long they can’t get up!)
